Sunday October 26, 2014 was the date of the 50th Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade. We were the #60 cart, out of 112 carts. About a third of our volunteers braved the 'warm' pavement (it really wasn't hot, as the day was full of cloud cover) and walked along showing off their Canine Ambassadors.

The Joslyn Senior Center in Palm Desert held their Annual Fall Health Fair. "Paws & Hearts" was one of the 100 Vendors and were dressed in the spirit of Halloween, and for a second year-in-a-row won for the most creative costumes!
Richard and Jill dressed as Firemen, (and would you believe that visitors to the table actually believed they were real firemen!)
"Scruffy" was the Fire Chief and "Maddie" (in Jill's arms) was his assistant!
In 2013 Richard and Jill were dressed up as a magician and assistant!

We are about to kick off year number 14! Who could believe that this would be the 14th Annual Dog Walk and that the little organization that "Lucky" and I founded 13 years ago would boast almost 45 volunteer teams and have such an incredible presence in the Coachella Valley? Our Canine Ambassadors visit facilities from The Comprehensive Cancer Center at Desert Regional Medical Center in north Palm Springs, all the way down valley to Indio Nursing and Rehabilitation.
It seems like only yesterday that "Lucky" and I made our first visit with Uncle Phillip helping out. Much has changed in 13 years, and we've developed an enviable reputation in town as a well run, reliable non-profit. We probably have the best volunteer pool of any agency in town, and while donations are down everywhere, our core donors are still supporting us.So please bring along those Zip-lock bags of loose change you have been saving all year and come out to our 14th Annual Dog Walk and lend your support
"We had a great turn out at our 13th Annual Dog Walk!"
We look forward to seeing you at our
2014, 14th Annual Dog Walk / Fundraiser!
