Every October Vista Cove at Rancho Mirage hosts what has become our Annual Halloween Dog Costume Party.  This year the staff was dressed up in 60's garb reminiscent of Woodstock to the delight of all the guests. 

As you can see most of our Canine Ambassadors were dressed in costume competing for prizes that are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  Our 2009 event held on Halloween morning was the best party to date!

One of the sweetest moments was when the residents were sitting outside in the shade observing the event.  All the dogs and their handlers filed by the wondrous spectators and they all got a chance to play the dogs!
Residents got a chance to sit outside and enjoy the festivities!

Our 2010, 5th Annual Halloween Dog Costume party will be held on Saturday October 30 at 10am and everyone is invited to attend.  We ask for a  donation of $20.00 for non "Paws & Hearts" attendees.
And we need to give a big thanks to Jack Poyfair, Executive Director of Vista Cove for hosting this event year after year.  Jack and his staff work tirelessly to host this event for us and we really do appreciate it.

Jack has already shared the 2010 theme and the staff will be dressing up as characters from the beloved cartoon, The Flinstones!  Wonder if our own Executive Director will dress up...........does Wilma's mother, Pearl Slaghoople ring any familiar bells?
The 2010 Annual Halloween Dog Costume Contest will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10:00 am.

Walk kicks off at 10:00 am!

..Once again our yearly dog walk will be the highlight of our volunteer/community events. "We have had nine great dog walks and the last four have been held at the Westin Mission Hills and they have proven to be our very best walks.  The Westin provides us with a great venue:  wonderful staging area for our walkers and vendors to assemble, just the prettiest route to walk with a fabulous view of the golf course and the mountains, and a great area to have the K9 Muttley Crew perform their show."


Raffle Prizes !!!

For those of you who have attended our dog walks in
the past you know that we have the very best raffle of all! 
We sell raffle tickets for our over-the-top raffle baskets and
gift certificates. Local merchants have graciously donated products and services and almost everyone who purchases
a raffle ticket wins something.
